Job Summary
As the Catering Director, you will lead the catering and events program for a high-profile law firm account. You will serve as a key client contact, oversee a team of catering professionals, and ensure every event delivers exceptional food, service, and attention to detail.
This role is ideal for an experienced catering professional who enjoys a fast-paced, polished environment and understands the importance of both client relationships and operational results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee internal and external catering events from start to finish.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted event planning partner.
- Develop menus, proposals, pricing, contracts, and event plans based on client needs and budgets.
- Oversee event logistics including food preparation, transportation, setup, service, and cleanup.
- Hire, train, schedule, and develop catering staff while maintaining high service standards.
- Manage food and labor costs through effective planning, staffing, purchasing, and portion control.
- Coordinate temporary staff, vendors, equipment, and other event resources as needed.
- Partner with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Resolve client concerns and continuously identify opportunities to improve the catering program.
- Ensure compliance with company, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of hospitality, catering, or events experience, including 2+ years in management.
- Strong experience with menu costing, pricing, contracts, staffing, and event logistics.
- Proven ability to manage food and labor costs.
- Excellent client service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience leading and developing catering or hospitality teams.
- Professional presence and strong attention to detail.
- ServSafe or other food safety certification preferred.
