Job Summary

As the Catering Director, you will lead the catering and events program for a high-profile law firm account. You will serve as a key client contact, oversee a team of catering professionals, and ensure every event delivers exceptional food, service, and attention to detail.

This role is ideal for an experienced catering professional who enjoys a fast-paced, polished environment and understands the importance of both client relationships and operational results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee internal and external catering events from start to finish.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted event planning partner.
  • Develop menus, proposals, pricing, contracts, and event plans based on client needs and budgets.
  • Oversee event logistics including food preparation, transportation, setup, service, and cleanup.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop catering staff while maintaining high service standards.
  • Manage food and labor costs through effective planning, staffing, purchasing, and portion control.
  • Coordinate temporary staff, vendors, equipment, and other event resources as needed.
  • Partner with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Resolve client concerns and continuously identify opportunities to improve the catering program.
  • Ensure compliance with company, health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of hospitality, catering, or events experience, including 2+ years in management.
  • Strong experience with menu costing, pricing, contracts, staffing, and event logistics.
  • Proven ability to manage food and labor costs.
  • Excellent client service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading and developing catering or hospitality teams.
  • Professional presence and strong attention to detail.
  • ServSafe or other food safety certification preferred.
