Job Summary:
Data-driven Route Manager with a strong focus on optimizing account performance, improving customer retention, and driving revenue growth through actionable insights and operational excellence.
This role combines operational execution with advanced data analysis to drive measurable improvements in sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across all assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of client sites through regular visits, using data and performance insights to improve customer retention and service quality
• Analyze sales trends, product performance, and site-level KPIs to identify opportunities and drive same-store sales (SSS) growth
• Partner with branch teams to support grand openings, using market and performance data to ensure strong launch execution and early revenue success
• Ensure compliance with local and national account standards by reviewing corporate reporting and leveraging data to monitor adherence and identify gaps
• Develop and implement data-driven action plans to improve operational metrics, including food waste, out-of-stocks, and inventory control (V-9 performance)
• Build and execute account-level incremental sales strategies (Owner’s Business Plan) by analyzing trends, forecasting demand, and tracking profitability performance
• Evaluate customer retention and point-of-sale experience metrics to recommend improvements that enhance the overall client experience
• Identify and implement pricing optimization and merchandising strategies using sales data and customer behavior insights to increase revenue and repeat purchases
• Introducing new products based on customer demand analysis, sales performance, and market trends
• Drive compliance with merchandising standards, using audit data and performance metrics to ensure consistency and effectiveness
• Assess performance across locations through Quarterly District Evaluations and audit reports, identifying underperforming sites and implementing targeted, data-driven improvements
• Generate and interpret reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide actionable insights to leadership and site teams
• Perform Route Driver responsibilities as needed, ensuring service continuity while maintaining awareness of operational performance metrics
Analytics Expectations:
• Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making across all assigned accounts
• Monitor and report on key metrics such as sales growth, profitability, retention, waste reduction, and inventory efficiency
• Use trend analysis, forecasting, and performance benchmarking to guide strategy and improve outcomes
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for operations and leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably with exposure to business analytics, operations, or data-driven environments
• 3+ years driving experience with valid Class C license and strong driving record
• 3+ years in customer service, route management, or retail with experience using data to drive decisions
• Experience in route management, retail, merchandising, or food & beverage operations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret reports, KPIs, and operational data
• Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, or dashboards (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present insights and recommendations clearly
• Ability to travel to client sites and adapt to operational needs
• Passion for delivering world-class, data-informed customer service
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
