Job Summary

Bring culinary leadership and creativity to one of the most exciting hospitality environments in collegiate athletics. As the Executive Chef, you will lead the culinary vision for the University of Michigan’s hospitality programs, delivering exceptional food experiences across concessions, premium spaces, catering, and special events. This role will ensure culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to Levy’s hospitality standards while inspiring and developing a high-performing culinary team.

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent culinary training preferred

  • 7+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience

  • Experience managing high-volume kitchens or multi-outlet food service operations

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards

  • Experience managing food costs, labor budgets, and inventory

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead culinary operations across concessions, premium dining, and catering programs

  • Develop menus and culinary concepts aligned with guest expectations and brand standards

  • Manage kitchen staffing, scheduling, and team development

  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and safety standards

  • Monitor food costs, purchasing, and inventory management

  • Collaborate with operations leadership to execute large-scale events

  • Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards

  • Mentor and develop culinary leadership teams
