Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Executive Sous Chef to lead all aspects of our culinary operations. This is a food-first leadership role focused on precision, innovation, and consistent quality.

The position is key to shaping a progressive food program within an established name in hospitality experiencing rapid growth in our Alaskan division. The ideal candidate brings both creativity and structure—someone who can lead a team, raise standards, and contribute to a diverse and evolving culinary culture.

This role offers strong growth potential within an organization deeply committed to cultural identity and long-term expansion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership:
    • Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure high food quality and presentation.
    • Control food costs through smart ordering, inventory, and waste management.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
    • Support menu development and innovation with the Corporate Chef.
    • Oversee catering and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a creative, high-performance culture.
  • Operational Support:
    • Travel opportunities to support kitchen efficiency, team training, and new unit openings.
    • Support special events and high-volume periods.
    • Collaborate with executive and sector teams to improve operations.
  • Ideal Candidate:
    • Passionate culinary professional with leadership experience in high-volume environments.
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to different kitchen environments.
    • Strong in cost control, service, and kitchen operations.
    • Innovative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in professional kitchens; multi-unit experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability.
  • Valid driver’s license; flexible schedule with travel availability.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and extended travel
