Fall 2026 Food Sustainability + Marketing Intern Job Description

- 4 hour - Sustainability Wednesday Designs + sustainability marketing materials
Looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable food, interested in the circular economy, and excited to engage with fellow students on all things sustainability!
Responsibilities:
- Support existing events including Farmer’s Markets, DIY’s, Teaching Kitchens
- Assist with our reusable container relaunch, build marketing materials and engage with students in the dining halls
- Take ownership of Sustainability Wednesday content on social media, build a schedule and weekly story postings
- Uphold the company’s values and commitment to creating a better world through sustainable practices
Learning Objectives
- Gain hands-on experience in sustainability outreach and student engagement
- Develop skills in coordinating sustainability-focused events and initiatives
- Support promotion of sustainable food systems and circular economy practices
- Assist with implementation and outreach for programs such as the Ozzi reusable container initiative
- Participate in organizing and promoting Farmer’s Markets and Teaching Kitchens
- Contribute to DIY workshops and food waste awareness campaigns
- Build marketing and communication skills through sustainability-focused messaging
- Create and manage social media content for Sustainability Wednesday campaigns
- Strengthen storytelling and digital engagement strategies for sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate across events to understand program implementation and execution
- Learn how sustainability programs are promoted and measured within a campus dining setting
- Gain insight into effective strategies for engaging students in sustainability efforts
This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
