The District Marketing Manager role is an exceptionally outstanding opportunity to lead and innovate within a dynamic marketing landscape. You will drive field marketing strategies and support growth, retention, and innovation efforts, making a tangible impact on our campus communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead units in completing marketing promotions, voluntary meal plan campaigns, and catering and retail sales drivers.
- Ensure adherence to Chartwells’ residential, retail, and catering brand standards, including brand identity, visual merchandising, and guest experience platforms.
- Collaborate with campus communities to improve partnerships and support awareness of dining programs, including sustainability, nutritional and dietary awareness, and the residential dining experience.
- Coordinate the execution of events and guest feedback programs.
- Develop marketing collateral and communication pieces, such as brochures, newsletters, programming announcements, and promotional guides.
- Support new business and retention efforts through guest feedback, proposal development, and presentations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of sector marketing and innovation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Culinary, Hospitality, or Hotel Management preferred.
- Minimum of three years of marketing management experience, with a preference for contract foodservice experience.
- Interpersonal skills to influence without direct authority, ensuring high standards and accountability across the field.
- Strong presentation skills, capable of addressing content with various collaborators, from regional support levels to field and front-line associates.
- Diligent with strong writing skills to craft and maintain brand materials and voice.
- Basic understanding of financial components in contract food service, including revenue, margin, costs, and risks.
