Job Summary

As the Restaurant Manager at 1906, a Fine Dining Restaurant at Longwood Gardens, you will lead the front-of-house team in delivering outstanding service in an upscale, garden-inspired setting. You’ll be the driving force behind team development, ensuring the seamless execution of fine dining standards, and delivering unforgettable guest interactions. This role requires a strong presence on the floor, hands-on leadership, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and inspire the front-of-house staff in delivering elevated, fine dining service
  • Ensure all service standards align with the expectations of Longwood Gardens, our company, and our guests
  • Maintain and manage staff scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate service goals clearly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Manage daily floor plans, station assignments, and reservation systems to optimize service flow
  • Supervise and ensure completion of daily side work and service readiness
  • Maintain a pristine and welcoming dining room environment
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly with professionalism and grace
  • Act as an ambassador of hospitality and a role model for the team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent hands-on experience in fine dining
  • 2–3 years of upscale restaurant management experience
  • Deep knowledge of fine dining service and industry trends
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and inspire a team
  • Experience with POS and reservation systems; proficiency in MS Office
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure environments with poise and professionalism
  • Impeccable personal presentation and communication skills
