Job Summary

Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a great opportunity for career development and growth at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in managing and reconciling the bonus reserves at the Company level. This position ensures accurate forecasting, tracking, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with an understanding of compensation structures and financial systems to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Manage bonus reserves at the Company level, ensuring accurate journal entries and compliance with financial policies.

· Lead the preparation, distribution and validation of sector bonus templates and summaries to ensure accurate and timely forecasting across business units.

· Partner cross-functionally with Corporate Accounting, Field Accounting, Compensation, Payroll and Sector leadership to improve communication and visibility across stakeholders.

· Perform reconciliations of bonus reserves, ensure alignment between SAP data, GL balances and sector submissions.

· Manage the Bonus Inbox and act as the primary escalation point for approval and adjustment requests.

· Monitor and align fringe rate applications across all sectors, promoting adoption of best practices.

· Partner with Working Capital on forecasts and variance explanations.

· Contribute to long-term strategic projects aimed at simplifying and streamlining bonus processes across the enterprise.

· Develop and maintain clear policies and procedures related to bonus processes. Ensure alignment with corporate standards, support audit readiness, and actively assist in cross-functional training to ensure consistent understanding and application of guidelines.

· Assist with fringe rate analyses, projections, and various projects on the Strategic Analytics team.

· Maintain sensitivity to confidential business and HR data.

 

Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance

· 5+ years analytical experience in a large corporation, or equivalent

· Detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and experience reconciling large datasets

· Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion/Essbase and advanced Excel

· Able to multitask, constantly monitoring and adjusting priorities

· Team player in a fast paced, constantly changing and deadline driven environment

· Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

· Ability to influence results when no direct authority exists

· Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across interdepartmental group
